April is Minority Health Month

This year instead of having health fairs during the month of April, we will be walking local neighborhoods.  Walking is one of the easiest ways for people to increase their activity and stay healthy.  Come talk a walk around the Joy Park area and Lawton communities April 21st and April 28th.  More information to follow...

Take a Health Professional to the Community Day 9/17/11

Minority Health Roundtable is celebrating its 15th Anniversary with their 'Take A Health Professional To The Community Day' at First Grace United Church of Christ, 350 South Portage Path, on Saturday, September 17, 2011, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Plan to stop by for free health screenings* for the public that will include:  Blood Pressure, Mammograms, HIV Testing/STI, Vision, Hearing Tests, Lead Testing and more.  The entire family is invited for lunch served w/screenings, a kids health and activities corner and doctor consultations.
 
*Free Screenings are available on a first-come first-serve basis.
